ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND ITS PHILOSOPHY

DeepJyoti School is the initiative of Deepak Foundation, which is an active non-profit organization working tirelessly towards providing holistic healthcare services, creating sustainable livelihood for the marginalized communities, and imparting quality education in the regions, the Foundation operates in. Mr. C. K. Mehta, Founder Director of the Deepak Group believes that early childhood education, where the foundation of life-long learning is laid is extremely crucial in building a sustainable society.

Admission Procedure:

The forms for Nursery/ Jr.Kg and all senior grades are usually issued on the auspicious day of Dussehra every year. Minimum age a child should attain for Nursery is 3 years and for Jr.Kg is 4 years as on 30th December . The forms are available at the Administrative office of the school with the clerk.

The school initiates its internal application scrutiny process and informs the parents of the further steps for completion of the admission process. Interested parents are expected to ensure that the completed application form, accompanied by the admission application registration fee is submitted to the school not later than one week from the form issue date.

Kindly fill in the admission form and submit it at the office the next day. The form should be submitted duly filled with the following documents:-
  1.  Birth Certificate of the child.
  2.  Two Passport size (latest) photographs of the child/ Mother / Father in WHITE background.
  3.  Photocopies of Aadhar card ( Mother/ Father/Child)
  4.  Photocopies of PAN card ( Mother/ Father )
  5.  Medical Fitness certificate of the child from a registered Doctor.

Original Leaving Certificate of the child taking admission for Grade I onwards.

The parents shall be required to remit the admission fee, security deposit and the fee towards the first term of the school simultaneously with the conclusion of the admission completion process / confirmation of admission. This Admission process shall be concluded by 31st January of the next calendar year.

The academic session of the school commences in the first week of April every year. The details regarding school uniform sourcing, books required, etc. is shared with the parents during the admission process completion stage.

Procedure for Cancellation of Admission:

If any parent is desirous of withdrawing his / her child from the school at the end of the academic year before onset of new academic year for any reason whatsoever, the concerned parent(s) need to apply for admission cancellation by filling in the specific form knows as ‘Admission Withdrawal Form’ which is available with the school office at least one month before the academic year ends. The academic year ends on 31st March every year. Hence the application for cancellation of admission should be made before 28th / 29th February of the particular academic year.

For such application submitted as stated above the admission is cancelled before the start of the first term of the relevant academic year, the admission fees shall be forfeited entirely, but the term fees security deposit amount paid shall be refundable by the school.

For cancellation of admissions effected after term begins (whether it is 1st, 2nd or 3rd term) only 50% fees paid for relevant term in which the cancellation is effected shall be refunded, in addition to the refundable portion of security deposit amount. The admission fee shall be forfeited in such case as well.

Unless all dues are paid by the student the results of the examination / tests conducted by the school will not be communicated to the student. School leaving certificate will not be issued till all the outstanding dues from the student at the time of leaving the school are paid and a clearance certificate from the concerned authority is obtained.

School Terms & Examinations

The School has academic programs from Pre-Primary to grade VIII. The academic year starts from April . There are two Unit tests and two Term exams in a year for grade I onwards.

A penalty of ₹ 50/- per day would be charged for late payment of fees after the last date of payment as mentioned above.

The parents are required to submit to the school the details of the payment of fees made at the bank on the same day of payment itself. If the details provided by parents do not match with the bank records, late payment of penalty of ₹ 50/- per day shall be charged from the last date of payment of the fees till the day on which the matching details are provided by the parents. The request for waving the penalty shall not be entertained in any case.

Uniform:

  • Students should be well-groomed and neatly dressed. The school uniform should be worn on all working days and for all school functions.
  • Please assure that your ward always observes personal hygiene. Carry out regular checks for the termination of parasites like lice. Nails should be trimmed and cleaned. Teeth should be brushed. A clean napkin is mandatory.

Discipline:

  • Student need to take every care to preserve and protect the classroom and school property. Parent/ Guardian shall compensate any damage / loss caused by their children.
  •  

    All the students in the school at all times shall wear the uniform prescribed by the school authorities.

     

  • No fancy haircuts. Boys must have short crew cut, no design in cuts. Girls with long hair below shoulder level must have two double plaits tied neatly and those with short hair must wear a hair band.

     

  • Students are also encouraged to speak in English in the school premises

Attendance:

Minimum 75% attendance of total working days in each term of all students in
